Overview

After a Track is uploaded to a Space, a Track Page is created. Track Pages helps you zoom into your project with features like adding comments to specific timestamps on a Track, and comparing versions in real time. To get started, you can upload your first Track. You can upload your Track in 2 ways:

  1. Drag and drop your Track directly onto your Space.

  2. Click or tap Upload and use the file picker to choose a file to upload.

Later, when you’ve uploaded more tracks to your Library, you can add Tracks from your Library directly.

Note: Highnote supports WAVs, MP3s, MP4, AIF, AIFF, and M4A audio files.

Downloading Tracks

When you download files in your Space, you download all Tracks and Attachments in that Space. On the Track Page, you can download files specific to that Track.

Click or tap the Download button on the top right-hand side.

Track Controls

Tracks can be controlled through the Back, Play, and Forward buttons below the wave visual.

Additionally, you can toggle 10-15 second skip controls on the bar below. Go to the right-hand side and click Options.

Audio Quality

Audio quality is an important requirement when it comes to how Highnote handles Tracks. While we aim for the highest quality at all times, internet connection could cause these larger files to load slower. To accomodate for this, audio quality can be automatically chosen based on the connection of the listener.

If the platform notices a slower connection, listeners will see a message asking about audio quality. Their selection will be remembered for next time.

Note: Audio Quality be locked in your Space Details area on the top right-hand side for specific plans.

Track Details

Like your Spaces, Tracks have their own details. You can edit a Tracks’ Artwork, Title, and Description. You can navigate to these options in two ways:

  1. Go to the bottom left hand-side and click or tap on the title of your song. Edit your details here.

  2. On your Space or in your Library, click or tap the three dots to the right of your Track title and edit details here:

Track Attachments

When you have attachments that are specific to a Track, rather than a Space, you can upload attachments to that Track. These attachments will move with the Track wherever it goes.

An example of what attachments would be specific to a Track can be stems, album artwork, or lyrics. Upload any of these in your Track Details area > Attachments.
