Fixing “beta still installed” / can’t update Highnote (Android)

Overview

Follow the steps below to fully remove the beta version of Highnote and reinstall the latest public app.

Part 1 — Reset the Highnote app

  1. Open your phone’s Settings

  2. Tap Apps (or Apps & notifications)

  3. Find and tap Highnote

  4. Tap Force stop

  5. Tap Storage (or Storage & cache)

  6. Tap Clear cache

  7. Tap Clear storage / Clear data (confirm if prompted)

  8. Go back and tap Uninstall Highnote

Part 2 — Reset the Google Play Store

  1. Go back to Settings → Apps

  2. Find and tap Google Play Store

  3. Tap Force stop

  4. Tap Storage (or Storage & cache)

  5. Tap Clear cache

  6. Tap Clear storage / Clear data (confirm if prompted)

Part 3 — Restart device & reinstall Highnote

  1. Restart your phone

  2. Once your phone turns back on, open the Google Play Store

  3. Search for Highnote

  4. Tap Install

  5. After installation completes, open Highnote and sign in

Note: You should not see “(Internal Beta)” next to the Highnote app name in the Google Play Store. If “(Internal Beta)” is still visible, please repeat Parts 2 and 3 once more.
