Follow these simple steps to get onboarded onto the Highnote mobile app in just a few minutes!
Sign Up or Log In
Open the Highnote app and select your preferred sign-in method: phone number, Google, Apple, or email/password. Choose the option that works best for you!
Tell Us About Yourself
Answer a few quick questions about your work. Are you an artist or producer? Do you work with clients? This helps us personalize your experience and set you up with the right tools.
You're All Set!
Now that you've set up your account, you're ready to create your first Space in the Highnote app.
Creating a New Space in Highnote 🎧
Step 1: Creating a New Space
On the home tab tap the + button to start creating a new Space.
Name your space and tap Create.
Step 2: Adding Space Info and Image
Tap the three dots in the top right corner of your Space screen.
Select Info from the menu.
Tap Add Image to upload a custom cover image for your Space.
Add a description for your Space and tap Save when you're done.
Sharing & Permissions in Highnote 🔐
Step 1: Accessing Sharing Settings
From your space, tap the 🔗 icon in the top right corner to access the Sharing and Permission settings.
Step 2: Enabling Link Sharing
Toggle on Enable Link to allow sharing your space with collaborators.
Step 3: Invite Collaborators and Set Permissions
You can invite anyone to collaborate in your Space, even if they don’t have an account.
Set your permissions by toggling on/off options for:
Allow Comments
Allow Uploads
Allow Downloads
Allow Guests (and set a password if needed).
Step 4: Save and You're Done!
Once you've configured your settings, tap the X to apply them. You're all set!
Enabling Chat in Highnote 🗨️
Step 1: Accessing Space Settings
Tap the three dots in the top right corner of your Space screen to open the settings menu.
Toggle on Chat and tap Save to enable the chat feature.
Step 2: Start Chatting
Once chat is enabled, you’ll see the Chat icon in your space. Tap it to start chatting with your collaborators!
Uploading Tracks or Files to Highnote ⬆️
Step 1: Start the Upload
From the Space page, tap the + button and then select Upload.
Step 2: Choosing Your Files
Choose the files you want to add to your Space.
Note: Highnote supports the following audio file formats: WAV, MP3, MP4, AIF, AIFF, and M4A.
Step 3: Monitoring Your Upload
You can track the upload status of your files.
If a track fails to upload, tap the retry icon to restart the upload.
Downloading Tracks or Files from Highnote ⬇️
✅ To download a Space:
Step 1: Tap Library from the bottom navigation bar.
Step 2: Select the Space you want to download.
Step 3: Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
Step 4: Tap Download. This will download all the files within the Space so you can view them offline.
